Excellent news concerning the former Woolworths unit which now looks to have found a new tenant. I understand that three large national retailers were involved in a sealed bid process and the site will be occupied by a well known natioinal retailer that will bring a new dimension to shopping in the town. Also let is one other empty unit. Our town looks to be bucking the trend. |

The combined affects of the "recession" and Traffic Order is detrimental to the town. Whilst the "recession" has taken its toll on all towns in the country, we believe that the traffic order; closing the town between 11am and 4pm; has also made things more difficult and needs to be altered to allow greater access. A meeting will be organized for the traders of the town in March. A notice will be posted here and hard copies distributed through the town. |

A meeting has been scheduled for Tursday 22nd of Jan at 5.00pm at Clwb Y Bont, Pontypridd (rear of Boots/Darlows). All managers and owners of businesses in Pontypridd who want to discuss the partial closure of Taff Street are welcome.

LATEST INFORMATION FROM RCT IS THAT THE TRAFFIC ORDER RESTRICTING ACCESS TO TAFF STREET WILL NOW NOT COME INTO EFFECT ON THE 19TH BUT HAS BEEN DELAYED UNTIL MON THE 26TH NOV 07. |

The experimental closure of Taff St to all traffic other than limited exemptions will commence Monday 19th Nov 07. The restriction will run mon to sat between the hours of 11.00am and 4.00pm.
ALL DELEVERIES WILL NEED TO BE SCHEDULED TO FALL OUTSIDE OF THE RESTRICTED TIMES!!! |
